LandSAR Wellington – Meeting for all members – Thurs 24 June – RSVP

LandSAR Wellington holds meetings a few times a year to keep in contact with members, to get direction from members, to discuss current events and trainings, and to meet with each other.

The meeting is open to all members. The meeting will begin with quick reports from members on projects that are being worked on, past events and upcoming events. It is a chance to hear what is happening in other parts of LandSAR Wellington, to get an idea of what our group as a whole involves, and to see what developments are currently underway that you might like to contribute to.

Following that Haydn Smith, LandSAR NZ CEO, will speak to us all. As he said in the latest Searchlight, Haydn is on a ‘LandSAR “fact finding” mission’.
The 2010/11 LandSAR Business Plans are now being formulated, and Haydn is trying to ensure that what LandSAR is planning remains in tune with the objectives of those who are ultimately searching for the lost, missing or injured. With that goal in mind, Haydn is looking at the outcomes outlined in the Analysis Tool For Groups and he is making a minimum of two visits in each membership area together with FSOs and Board members (where able), to ensure anyone with a wish to have input or a say into our outcomes will be able to do so. So, please come along, listen, discuss and share your ideas.

Please wear your LandSAR ID tags.

Venue: Wellington Central Police Station, Victoria St.
Please meet in the Watchhouse between 18:30 and 18:50, and someone will be down to let you in.
